Oh man... now that fresh corn season is upon us, I MUST have one of these, so I can put grilled corn in everything.
I seem to have gotten a slight warp on my Broil King Sovereign 99, and now my middle grill falls inside it. I love my natural gas bbq, so I hope that the "Lifetime on castings" comes through for me! I'll let everyone know how Service and support works over at OMC .Good thing I have lots of charcoal bbqs in the meantime.
None of my current Qs will hold hold a full brisket to cook over indirect heat, and with the upcoming bbq competition at Fort York in toronto on September 15th, seemed like a good excuse to buy another Q.. I still have to post my review of my last bbq that i got last week (the ProQ) .. I better start cooking!
I Dont know what to say... bacon mints! the perfect mint before you go out on that date with that extra special someone.
I bought my first ice cream machine this weekend.. decided to go "straight to pro" and not even bother trying to make basic ice cream my first time, and it worked! I used a variation of a custard recipe i've made before. my mind is still blown with that ice cream i invented, I don't think i'll ever buy store bought ice cream ever again. oh.. and yes stout is beer.. so this is beer ice cream.
I seem to be on a chick pea kick these days.. real simple recipe after the jump. The lemon and mango balances out the bitterness of the rapini. If you have a hoppy India pale ale or wheat beer it makes a nice pairing. Notice the nice dinnerware/flatware ? GO DIXIE!
This grill has my testosterone purring and growling, a grill make from a Chevy V8.
Fount this little article quite helpful, if you are looking for a new lawn chair to take to the next bbq or camping give it a read.
There's nothing like a cool spicy fresh tasting salad on a hot day in the summer with some nice bbq. Recipe after the jump.
There's nothing so simple as spatchcock chicken on the bbq. My butcher was not open today, as it's a holiday here, so I just grabbed a couple of small chickens at the grocery store. Boy do I love saying spatchcock... it makes some people blush, others do a double take, and makes small children laugh... If Peter Griffen from Family Guy was around, he would say; "hehehehhe you said cock!"
First time I've used a gas grill to make ribs in a few years... how I miss my smokers when I come to visit the parents. These ribs turned out delicious though, here's a new recipe for those of you that like "wet" ribs.
