SALT!

| | Comments (0)

Recently I was unable to find my favorite brand of salt, and I've been auditioning other brands of salt, and talking non-stop about salt. Someone at the office found me my salt though so i'm going to put my salt speak to sleep with one less rambling here on my blog. One of the number one questions that people ask me when they come for dinner is why i have so many darn kinds of salt, and why I use Kosher salt for cooking instead of "Table salt". Read my ramblings after the jump.

Chicken & Waffles

| | Comments (0)

Not really the kind of thing that;s popular in canada, but I sure love Chicken'N'Waffles. There is not better delivery system for gravy than a waffle with it's gravy holes, I'll take this over maple syrup any day! The more traditional version of this dish is fried chicken, but this is my bbq blog, so we have to switch it up a little.Recipe after the jump

Seasoned Skewers?

| | Comments (0)

I'm not sure how to feel about this one.. Pre-seasoned skewers, I usually season the meat or vegetable that I'm cooking but maybe i need some pre-seasoned skewers?!? Looks to be lots of flavors including mago curry, garlic, honey bourbon.

Solar BBQ?

Not sure how long it would take to cook a steak with the power of the sun in -20c temperatures, but warmer weather is around the corner so this looks like it might be something fun to try: Solar BBQ!

The twisty fork! This gadget makes me laugh because it won't work if your fingers are sticky, and I think it would make that nails across a blackboard sound on your plate as well. I think we need some battery power to make this design fly

For a twist on pork tenderloin, try stuffing it with cream cheese, and rolling it in taco spice - I like old el paso brand..
