I'm having a few people over for New Years Eve this year, instead of battling the crowds to try and have a nice dinner out, we're staying in! Seems like a special enough occasion to splurge on some premium ingredients. My menu Suggestions after the jump.

Jowel Bacon Mini Quiche (app) - Veuve "Le Grand Damme" Champagne
Foi gras served on a truffled corncake, topped with a quail egg & blueberry compote. (app) - 1998 Pol Roger Vintage Rose Champagne
Hot and Sour Buckwheat Soba noodles with cocktail shrimp or bay scallop saviche (app) - Lemon & Cucumber Soju
Raw Oyster Shooter (app) - Chablis Style Chardonnay
Cherry wood grilled Muscovi Duck Breast (could be appetizer or main) - "Grange" Penfolds Cabernet Merlot from Oz.
Dufflet Cherry Cheesecake - Cabernet Franc Icewine
Mexican Churros stuffed with apple butter and ricota cheese, dipped in chocolate and served with a Spicy Chocolate Coffee Latee. (dessert)
Rosemary and Cumin Rubbed Lamb Loin mini chops, - (app) - Cabernet Sauvignon
BBQ Filet Mignon Wrapped in bacon and toped with crab meat & Goat Cheese Flambe (big app) - Pinot Noir
