Irished Crème Brûlée

| | Comments (0)

Playing with a classic french recipe tonight, thought i'd add a twist to it. Everything is better with booze in it!
Ok.. so it's not BBQ.. but you do get to play with a blow torch, so I say it Qualifies for on this blg. Recipe After the jump

I'm having a few people over for New Years Eve this year, instead of battling the crowds to try and have a nice dinner out, we're staying in! Seems like a special enough occasion to splurge on some premium ingredients. My menu Suggestions after the jump.

My love of BBQ... as a Tattoo

When pig's flew and I turned 30 this year, I just had to remember the event with a tattoo. It's Multi purpose, it commemorates my love of bbq, pork and turning 30.

Bacon Martini?!

I can't believe I didn't invent this myself.. The bacon martini, this has got to be the next evolution of "hair of the dog" bacon and vodka for breakfast.

Bacon Martini

Slightly off topic....

Ok. this has nothing really to do with bbq or cooking.. maybe it could have something to do with outdoor entertaining in the winter.

I found some amazing veal loin chops at my local butcher this weekend, Now i get to invent and make a very long phrase to describe what i did with it:
"Pumpkin, Pine nut and Fennel Veal Chops drizzled with Pomegranate & Wine Reduction served with Fig and Mushroom Risotto and Green Beans"
If you feel like spending a few hours in the kitchen on a sunday afternoon with music cranked up you'll have fun with this recipe.
