With the outdoor gardening season coming to a close, I really start chomping at the bit for fresh local veggies. Here's a cool gadget that lets your grow inside without any dirt or fuss.. 28 days for a full harvest, should be great for growing herbs or small vegetables.

I never would have thought to stuff a carrot inside a pork, but it's seems to work great! Thank you Mr. Butcher! I bought a pre-stuffed (with carrots and bacon) pork-loin from the local Portuguese butcher in my neighborhood. Carrots are idea for something like a lean piece of loin as they have a very high water content and help keep the meat from drying out. - I made a nice mustard based marinade and sauce, recipe after the jump.

I had to put "EXTREME" in there, cause this recipe calls for 3 beers and 1lb of garlic. We seem to be on a tater kick these days, mind you meat and potato is match made in heaven sometimes. Read on for this slow bbq drunken recipe.
